Unforgiven sands. Humph, well that one place really knows how to live up to its name. It is very unpredictable out her, so you have to be prepared for wherever the desert throws at you. If the sun is not beating down on the sands and making it blistering hot, so you are so unable to walk on it, then there are winds whipping up all around, causing sand storms. They really hurt, the sand partials get up your nostrils and in your eyes and mouth. Most uncomfortable.
Well today, Surrender did not know what was going to happen, as he lay curled up in a ball with his banner wrapped around him and shielding his eyes. Although they were closed, he still did not want to take the risk of opening them and being blinded by sand.
As the wolf lay perfectly still on the sand a rattling sound met his auds, he ignored it at first and remained still, soon enough the sound stopped. He smiled inside and began to listen for other sound, preferably one the may mean a sand storm. The silence was lasting but then was shattered again, by the rattling, but this time it was closer. Surrender knew what the unmistakable sound of that rattle was from, and he knew that the reptile had advanced closer towards him.
Surrender grumbled and flicked his auds, then slowly raised his apex and blinked from under his tassel. Once his orbs adjusted to the brightness of the desert, in comparison to the darkness that was his light slumber, he looked around to see if he could spot the snake, but he was easily dazzled by the mirage effect of the sun on the sand. ”Great.” he mumbles as her slowly uncurled and began to rise from the sand. Once on his legs her shook out his thick pelt, sending sand particles shooting about, looking like he created his own mini sand storm.
With a deep sigh and slight moan, he looked about again for the snake, which had now started to rattle vigorously. Obviously, it could either see or sense the wolf was close by, and possible be a threat.
Your toying with Surrender.
